Chloe Jane Releases New Song “Keep Holdin' On (Set Me Free)”
New York-based singer-songwriter and DJ Chloe Jane released a new song “Keep Holdin' On (Set Me Free)” on July 26, 2024.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP “Dance Floor Emergency”, which will be released this September.
Chloe Jane wrote the song with producer Zak Leever last December.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by COR.ECE.
Chloe Jane said of the song, “'Keep Holdin' On (Set Me Free)' is a feel-good, uplifting anthem for the dance floor. I wanted to capture that intense longing for both independence and intimacy that often coexists within us when we're in love. It's this beautiful, sometimes painful tension between wanting to be set free and yearning to be held close – to feel that sense of belonging and togetherness with someone special.”- She continued, “I wrote this song with Zak Leever back in December last year during a time where I needed to be set free from all the darkness around me. I hope this song can bring a bit of light into your life as it did for me. The juxtaposition in the lyrics ‘keep holdin’ on’ and ‘set me free’ to me capture the feeling of freedom and connection you experience with someone special, a feeling you never want to lose. The dancefloor is a sanctuary and this song is therapy.”
