Post Malone Releases New Song “Guy For That” featuring Luke Combs
American singer-songwriter and rapper Post Malone released a new song “Guy For That” on July 26, 2024.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming sixth studio album “F-1 Trillion”, following “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen and “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton.
This time, he teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Luke Combs on the track.
This marks the first collaboration between Post Malone and Luke Combs.
For Luke Combs, the song marks his second collaboration with an artist outside of country music, following British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran's “Life Goes On”.
The track was written by Austin Post, Charlie Handsome, Ernest Smith, HoskinsJames McNair, Louis Bell, and Luke Combs. Produced by Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, and Hoskins.
The accompanying music video was directed by Chris Villa.
In the clip, Post Malone and Luke Combs take an unexpected drive to Nashville in a truck and showcase an impromptu performance on the truck bed.- The new album comprises a 18-track and is set to be released on August 16, 2024.
It is the first country music album for Post Malone, who doesn't want to be confined to any one genre.
Before, Post Malone said on The Howard Stern Show, "I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans, and then I'm happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I'm happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family,” he added. “So, it's a lot of time, and it's about finding that space to allot that time.
