Halsey Releases New Song “Lucky”
American singer-songwriter Halsey released a new song “Lucky” on July 26, 2024.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming fifth studio album, following “The End” released last month.
The track samples American singer-songwriter Britney Spears' 2000 hit “Lucky” and Monica's 1997 song “Angel of Mine”.
It was written by Alexander Kronlund, Ashley Frangipane, James Everett Lawrence, Max Martin, Michael Uzowuru, Rami Yacoub, and Travon Potts. Produced by Michael Uzowuru, Rahm Silverglade, and Dylan Wiggins.
The song is accompanied by the Gia Coppola-directed music video.
Halsey shared on social media, “I remember the first time I heard her sing lucky and it hitting me at such a young age that I had no idea what her life was really like. and that feeling resonates with me so much still. I found myself singing it when I started treatment and then I knew I had to do it. I wrote her the longest, sappiest, stan letter of all time and she was soooo nice.”- Recently, Halsey revealed about her struggles with health issues.
She said, “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life. After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After 2 years, I'm feeling better and I'm more grateful than ever to have music to turn to.
