  • Toby Gad Releases New Album “PIANO DIARIES - THE HITS”

  • Los Angeles-based music producer Toby Gad released a new project “PIANO DIARIES - THE HITS” on July 19, 2024.

In this project, Toby Gad reimagined his hit songs from 2006 to 2017 into emotive piano-vocal masterpieces, featuring today’s stars.
The album comprises a 8-track, featuring guest appearances from Celina Sharma, Angelina Jordan, Johnny Orlando, Victoria Justice, Keke Palmer, Aloe Blacc, Louisa Johnson, Camylio, and Paravi, produced by produced by Toby Ga.

Toby Gad said of the project, “It has been an incredible journey to watch my songs evolve and reach new audiences. Working with such talented emerging vocalists has brought a fresh and exciting perspective to these tracks. I am proud of the artistry and emotion each artist has brought to PIANO DIARIES - THE HITS, and I can't wait for the world to hear these reimagined versions.”
  • Toby Gad told DIGITAL JOURNAL about the album, “This album features my biggest songs, so it's the Top8 of all the songs I have released in my career. My goal was to make these new versions so timeless that they will sound just as current in twenty years from now. I spent a long time figuring out piano parts to create an accompaniment that can exist with few notes, a minimalist approach, and give the vocal a lot of room to breathe and unfold so that the lyric can shine through.”

He added, “When I write songs it's often just a piano and a vocal. On this record I want to give listeners that magical first-time-feeling I had when we originally wrote these hit songs.”
