chasing luma Releases New Song “nervous”
Canadian singer-songwriter Luke MacDonald's solo project chasing luma released a new song “nervous” on July 19, 2024.
The song is inspired by the 2000's era of pop, especially American rock band Wheatus' smash hit “Teenage Dirtbag”.
As he was finishing up the new single, he realized how much of the song's DNA felt like the music from 2000, but brought into the modern era of sonics.
The track was written and produced by Luke MacDonald.
Luke MacDonald said of the song, “I never like to dive too deep into the meanings of my songs, because I think it's really beautiful to be able to assign whatever meaning feels appropriate to yourself as the listener. Generally, this song can kind of be viewed as revisiting old vices or situations and getting in your own way by indulging in things that don't serve you anymore, even if you're self aware about it being wrong for you.”- Photo by Griffin O'Toole
