  • Ruel Covers The Weeknd's “Call Out My Name”

  • Australian singer-songwriter Ruel released a cover of Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd's “Call Out My Name” on July 18, 2024.


    The song is the second single off of his upcoming covers EP “Adaptations”, which is set to be released on August 2, 2024.
    The original version of the song was released by The Weeknd from his debut EP “My Dear Melancholy” in 2018.
    The song reached No. 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 7 on the UK Singles chart.
    The track was written by Abel Tesfaye, Adam King Feeney, and Nicholas Alfredo Jaar. The cover version was produced by M-Phazes.

    The new EP is a a collection of cover songs. Ruel worked with producer M-Phazes on the EP.
    He said of the EP “When the idea of an EP floated around, I immediately made a playlist of hundreds of songs that were either underrated gems or my fav hits and then paired up with M-Phazes to bring them to life. I'm so happy with what we came up with and I'm hyped to see what you guys think.”
  • Back in June, Ruel signed to Giant Music. The new EP is his first release under new label.
    He said, “I'm VERY VERY VERY excited to tell you all that ive signed a NEW LABEL DEAL with Giant Music. I can't wait to enter this new chapter of my career and release lotsa new music with this amazing group of people.”
