  • Rex Orange County Announces New Album “The Alexander Technique”, Shares Two New Songs “Alexander” & “Guitar Song”

  • British singer-songwriter Alexander James O'Connor, aka Rex Orange County has announced his fifth studio album “The Alexander Technique” will be released on September 6, 2024.


    The album is named for a therapeutic practice in which back pain is treated in order to address deeper health problems.
    It is his first body of work in two years since the 2022 album “Who Cares?” and comprises a 16-track.

    Rex Orange County said of the album in a statement, “The Alexander Technique is very much a look into my own brain and experiences over the last few years - it’s almost a diary. I’ve made a lot of love songs over the years, and I feel as though this is the first time I’m trying to make a project about everything in life. In my mind, it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted to make.”
  • From the album, he two new songs “Alexander” and “Guitar Song” on July 18, 2024.
    “Alexander” was written and produced by Alex O'Connor. The accompanying music video was directed by Nick Walker.
    “Guitar Song” was written by Alex O'Connor, Jim Reed, and Teo Halm. Produced by Alex O'Connor and Teo Halm.
    The music video was filmed by Alex Waesp and edited by Nick Schiarizzi.
