Teddy Swims Releases New Song “Funeral” from New Mixtape “Bose x NME C24”
NME and Bose announced their new mixtape “Bose x NME C24” will be released on July 19, 2024.
In its second year, NME's C24 collaboration with Bose showcases the future of music with established and breakout artists.
This time, the mixtape comprises a 7-track, featuring appearances from Teddy Swims, Artemas, Laufey, Royel Otis, Lola Young, Tehya, and Samara Cyn.
From the mixtape, American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims released the first single called “Funeral” on July 12, 2024.
The track was written by Jaten Dimsdale, Jon Green, Julian Bunetta, Mikky Ekko, and Whitney Phillips.
Produced by Jon Green, Julian Bunetta, and Matt Zara.
To celebrate the release, Teddy Swims showcased a live performance on new NME video franchise “On Tape”.- Teddy Swims said of the song, “'Funeral' is fun, upbeat and it'll make people want to dance, but there's a layer of sadness underneath that. I love being able to make music that has joy but is heartbreaking at the same time. We're finally at the point where we're honing a certain sound. It's all about this old soul, Motown feel but modernising that in a way that feels authentic. Songs like 'Funeral' just feel right.”
