  • John Summit Premieres New Song “Tears” with Paige Cavell on BBC Radio 1

  • American DJ John Summit will release his debut album “Comfort In Chaos” on July 12, 2024.

From the album, he premiered a new song “Tears” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
On the track, he teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter Paige Cavell.
The track was written by John Walter Schuster, Lex Stowe, Paige Cavell, and Stevie Appleton. Produced by John Summit.

John Summit told Jack Saunders about the song, “I would say that this is like a proper record where it's like a song you need to listen to start to finish. Like normally when I make songs, there's like big builds and drops builds and drops but I think this is a pretty unique one and yeah, I'm like excited for you guys to hear it.”
  • He continued, “I mean, this one is a pretty heartfelt track. So Paige was like kind of going through heartbreak at the time, so kind of really channeled that energy. And I just think it's such an emotionally powerful record. You know, it's not like your typical pop tune or whatever, you know, it's happy. This kind of like a sad day one but ends on such a big powerful note. I'm really proud about this record to be honest.”

The album comprises a 12-track, featuring collaborations with Elderbrook, HAYLA, Paige Cavell, SG Lewis, venbee, Kaskad, Julia Church, Mathame, Camden Cox, Sub Focus, Subtronics and Tape B.
  • John Summit said of the album, “I mean, the whole concept 'Comfort In Chaos' is really just me trying to figure out my way through my absolutely chaotic lifestyle. I mean, being on the road for the last four years non stop playing everyday has been nuts. And actually write a full album start to finish I had to take the whole month of November off. And when I say take it off just off the road and I actually wrote the whole album in one day and so that's why all like the singers and songwriters are all wondering based. And so being able to actually take some time off as have able to get more introspective in life and not just make big party tunes. And I think you can tell that with the record.”
