The Motion Epic Releases New Song “Heartbreakers”
Synth-pop trio The Motion Epic, consisting of Pat DiMeo (vocals), Aaron 'Mister the Kid' Henry (guitar) and Nick 'Kalimocho' Colbert (keyboards/drums), released a new song “Heartbreakers” on June 28, 2024.
The song is their fourth single of 2024, following “Ordinary World”, “Jealous Guy”, and “I Love You Always Forever”.
The track is heavily inspired by a certain type of '80s top 40 “party” bop.
It was written by Aaron Ian Henry, Andreas Koliakoudakis, Nicholas Richard Colbert, and Pasquale Patrick Di Meo. Produced by Andreas Koliakoudakis.
“The song explores the idea of being with someone who doesn't ignite your passion until you meet 'the one,' creating a struggle to make a decision,” the band frontman Pat DiMeo said of the song. “After coming up with the story, our objective was to write a song that captures the tantalizing feeling of someone contemplating adultery - something we see often in our '80s Rom-Coms.”- Photo by Chris M Stanton
