James Smith Releases New Song “Sunshine (Part 1)”
British singer-songwriter James Smith released a new song “Sunshine (Part 1)” along with a music video on June 28, 2024.
The song is the third single of 2024, following “Somebody To You” and “Molly”
The track was written and produced by James Smith, and co-written by Lily Agnes.
James Smith said of the song, “Came up with 'sunshine pt1' when I was getting ma tan on & listening to drum loops about 2 years ago. Ended up like a tomato but got a song out of it. Recorded the initial idea on my laptop under the sunbed haha (slide 2). This tune felt like a real turning point for me so I'm buzzzzin that it's finally out! so nice to see people vibing with it!”- James Smith scored his first hit in his teens, but always felt that something was missing. Now he's ready to embrace maturity, and start all over again.
He's wiping the slate clean, and telling his own story, on his own terms.
He said, “I was able to sit and write music that was a bit different to what I'd done before. I was writing from the heart. I've always enjoyed being around people, but when that was taken away I realised that I had to put those feelings down on paper.” -
