Rosie Lowe Announces New Album “Lover, Other”, Shares New Song “In My Head”
British singer-songwriter Rosie Lowe has announced a new album “Lover, Other” will be released on August 16, 2024 via Blue Flowers.
It is her first body of work in three years since the 2021 collaborative album “Son” with Duval Timothy.
The album features 15 tracks, including one reprise.
From the album, she unveiled the second single called “In My Head” on July 3, 2024, following “Mood To Make Love”.
The track was written by Harvey Grant, Luke Bower, Rosie Lowe, and Uma Bunnag. Produced by Rosie Lowe, Harvey Grant, and d'monk.
Rosie Lowe said of the song in a press release, “‘In My Head’ is a song about feeling the change in life and trying to learn to just surrender to it and not overthink. It’s about digging deep to a place inside where I forge on anyway, despite my fears.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Louis Hemming-Lowe.
Louis Hemming-Lowe said of the video, “Rosie gave me a really open creative brief, wanting the visuals to connect and not be too literal. With this in mind, a feeling of nostalgia came through. I aimed for an abstract, fantasy feel with hand-drawn animation and dream sequence symbolic connectivity. Themes of nostalgia, looking back, looking forward, time and repetition, reliving episodes and memories, beginning and ending, life and death. I wanted the viewer to figure these out, like waking from a dream and trying to decipher the meaning, so there’s no real story or direct narrative line.” -
