Charlie Rogers Returns With New Sing “Consequences Of My Honesty”
Nashville-based country music singer-songwriter Charlie Rogers is back. He released a new song “Consequences Of My Honesty” on June 28, 2024.
The song is his first music in almost a year since “When He Was Me”, which was released last July.
The track delves into his wide spectrum of emotions after revealing he is bisexual, only to feel some of his loved ones were hesitant to accept.
This sincere sound Charlie Rogers showcases conveys the emotional rollercoaster while coming out as bisexual.
The track was written by Charles Rogers, Chase Coy, and Evan Michael Buddenbohn. Produced by Jess Grommet.
Charlie Rogers said of the song, “Too often we hear stories from the media of coming outs that are polarizing; either the result is total acceptance or rejection. Very few stories sit in the in-between, which is where I've found the majority of our stories, my own included, truly live.”- Charlie Rogers shared on social media, “Our writing carries stories. Literally, of course, but also in the details there within. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they write; you can tell which hand is dominant, their level of understanding around vocabulary, you can even tell if someone is neurodivergent or take a stab at their IQ based on the way their handwriting presents.”
He added, “Letters, especially when handwritten, are one of the ultimate expressions of who we are underneath. We show our honest authentic selves even without realizing it, & sometimes people pick up the little clues & cues sprinkled within. Letters allow us to convey the underpinnings of our heart & sometimes those underpinnings go unwanted & leave behind their share of consequences.” -
