Draumr & Matya Team Up for New Song “Things You Say To Yourself”
French music producer Gabriel Cheurfa, aka Draumr teamed up with Los Angeles-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Matya to release a new song “Things You Say To Yourself” on June 27, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Draumr and Matya.
The song will appear on Draumr's upcoming album “Somewhere Stellar”, which is set to be released in September 2024.
Gabriel Cheurfa co-wrote the song with Matya, and also produced and directed music video.
Draumr told Just Jared about the song, “'Things To Say To Yourself' was inspired by a deep conversation I had with Matya, who also sings on the track. We talked about our fears and inner struggles, and something she said really stuck with me: ‘the things you say to yourself’. It resonated because I was going through a similar phase. I wrote and recorded the song in just two days, and it’s about not letting that inner voice control you, pushing through fears, and taking risks to live life fully.”- source : Apple Music
