  • Lil Nas X Releases New Song “Here We Go” from Netflix film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” Soundtrack

  • American rapper Lil Nas X joined in Netflix's upcoming film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” soundtrack.

He contributed the theme song called “Here We Go” to the film.
The track was written by Harold Faltermeyer, Jarrod Morgan, Mark Williams, Montero Lamar Hill, and Raul Cubina. Produced by Ojivolta.

Lil Nas X said in an interview with Netflix, “It's Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He was doing like, the hum to it and I was like, Wait, that's actually a nice little melody from Family Guy. And then I like, saw the movie years later. It was actually kind of insane. I was a bit emotional. I'm happy to do it. I hope I'm not slaughtered by people who love the original. And I know, like, my dad and family, this probably would be the thing they'd go the most, like, insane about me doing, because it's so close to them."
  • Eddie Murphy added, “Nah, your track is bananas. I'm excited to have some new music and have this brother be the one that's on it.”

Lil Nas X shared on social media, “So excited to release the best song of all time this Friday. Also sorry I've been so scared with my art lately. I'm coming around to myself again. I will make you guys very proud.”
  • The film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” is as the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop film series and a sequel to the 1994 film “Beverly Hills Cop III”.
The film was directed by Mark Molloy, starring Eddie Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot, and Kevin Bacon.
The film is scheduled to be released on the streaming service Netflix on July 3, 2024.
