Amy Shark Releases New Song “Two Friends”
Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter Amy Shark released the fourth single called “Two Friends” from her upcoming third studio album “Sunday Sadness” on June 28, 2024.
The new album is set to be released on August 16, 2024 via Sony Music Australia.
The track was written by Amy Billings, and Sam DeJong who also produced it.
Amy Shark said of the song, “'Two Friends' is about a young girl aggressively removing someone from the well known ‘Friend Zone’ and placing them deep in her heart and mind where they inevitably take control of her entire body...both end up moving in unison like a funeral march for the friends they used to be.”- The album comprises a 11-track, produced by Sam DeJong, Kid Harpoon, Jon Hume, and Dann Hume.
It is her first album in three years since the 2021 album “Cry Forever”.
Amy Shark said of the album, “I specifically wrote this album on Sundays, constantly daydreaming about the happiest moments and the worst, remembering the best people while still getting over others. I am different on Sundays, I am not sure why, but I bet you are too.” - source : Apple Music
