Pretty Sick Releases New EP “Streetwise”
American bassist and singer-songwriter Sabrina Fuentes' indie rock band Pretty Sick released a new EP “Streetwise” along with a new music video for “Violet” via Dirty Hit on June 27, 2024.
The EP is their first project in two years since the 2022 debut album “Makes Me Sick Makes Me Smile” and comprises a 6-track, featuring a guest appearance from xmal.
The EP is an introduction to Pretty Sick's new era in preparation for their upcoming full-length album later this year.
All songs were written by Sabrina Fuentes and Arthur Nyqvist.
This time, Sabrina Fuentes worked with Swedish producer and DJ Woesum on the EP.
Sabrina Fuentes told PAPER about working with Woesum, “I loved working with Woesum so much. Prior to working with him, I'd only ever recorded with a full band in the room and pre-written songs. Writing lyrics to beats he makes really opens up a whole new world of songwriting to me. He's so talented and great at directing the artists he works with.”- The accompanying video was directed by Jake Erland.
Sabrina Fuentes said of “Violet”, “Violet is about that girl who's loud and fucked up and sexy and gross. She's my favorite kind of person, and even if everybody else in the room is scared of her, I can spot her from a mile away, and without fail am taken with this kind of psychotic, messy bitch.” -
