Sarah Kinsley Announces Debut Album “Escaper”, Shares New Song “Last Time We Never Meet Again”
New York City-based singer-songwriter Sarah Kinsley has announced her debut album “Escaper” on September 6, 2024.
The album comprises a 12-track, co-produced by Sarah Kinsley and John Congleton.
The debut album combines classical music and pop sound to create a soundtrack for imaginary worlds.
Sarah Kinsley said of the album, “one realization you have eventually as an insular, more introspective person is that there’s a world outside of yourself waiting for you to look into it. I had made every single EP from scratch, in the sweetness of my apartment... This record was meant to be grand and unstoppable. A beginning descent into freefall. Why protect that feeling in solitude? Why not invite another into that journey?”
She added, “I’m just such a sucker for massive, grand songs. I think it’s the classical musician in me who loves symphonies and the magnum opus effect.”- From the album, she unveiled the first single called “Last Time We Never Meet Again” on June 20, 2024.
The track was written by Sarah Kinsley Du. The accompanying music video was directed by Fiona Nova and Pier Piccoli.
Sarah Kinsley said of the song, “The song is meant to be celebratory, but it’s trying to make something that is really sincerely a goodbye—the closing of all these worlds that you inhabit with the people you love. A celebratory goodbye.” -
