David Kushner Announces Debut Album “The Dichotomy”, Shares New Song “Humankind”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter David Kushner has announced his debut album “The Dichotomy” will be released on August 30, 2024 via Miserable Music Group.
The album comprises a 17-track, including his smash hit single “Daylight” released April 2023.
Produced by Digital Farm Animals, Eren Cannata, Evan Blair, Jake Torrey, Johnny Simpson, Jon Hume, Lydia Kitto, Ojivolta, One Love, Rob Kirwan, Steve Rusch and TMS.
“This project has been a long time coming and I’m excited I finally get to share it with all of you,” David Kushner said of the album. “I wanted to depict humankind’s struggle between light and darkness. It’s something that all of us feel in our own way, and certainly something I feel daily.”- From the album, he unveiled the fifth single called “Humankind” on June 21, 2024.
The song delves into his personal experiences with church and explores themes such as hypocrisy in religious practices, materialism, the commercialization of ideals, and humanity’s struggle to have kindness and goodness.
The track was written by David Alan Kushner, Jeremy Dussolliet, Sean Douglas, and Timothy Sommers. Produced by One Love.
The accompanying music video was directed by Luke Shaw and Landon Juern. -
David Kushner embarks on The Dichotomy Tour this fall. The tour kicks off at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR on September 9, and will concluded at Fox Theater in Oakland, CA on November 23, 2024.
