Perrie Releases New Song “Tears”
British singer-songwriter and former Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, aka Perrie released a new song “Tears” on June 21, 2024.
The song is her second solo single, following the release of “Forget About Us” back in April.
Also both songs will appear on her upcoming debut solo album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
She co-wrote the song with producer Ido Zmishlany.
She first performed the song at Capital's Summertime Ball 2024.
Perrie said of the song, “This song is about coming out of a bad situation and letting go of what has happened in the past. It's that point where you feel empowered, and you leave the tears behind because you've come out the other side. It’s a sultry and smooth track that I'm really excited for you all to hear.”- The debut solo album was written and recorded at her home studio in North London.
On the album, she worked with co-writers and producers including such as British singer-songwriters Ed Sheeran and RAYE, as well as Johnny McDaid, Feli Ferraro and Jon Bellion.
Perrie said of the album, “Going into sessions as a solo artist now and being able to say what I want and I feel is just the most amazing experience. I’ve never really done that before—that’s why I’ve wanted to just explore all my different emotions and different parts of my life.” - source : Apple Music
