Lainey Wilson Releases New Song “Out Of Oklahoma” from New Film “Twisters” Soundtrack
American country music singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson joined in the upcoming film “Twisters” soundtrack album “Twisters: The Album”.
She contributed a new song “Out Of Oklahoma” to the soundtrack.
The track was written by Lainey Wilson, Luke Dick, Shane McAnally. produced by Luke Dick.
The song is accompanied by the Alex Bittan-directed music video.
“It's wild how life throws a theme at you ain't it. My life the past few years has felt like a twister...hence why I titled my new album Whirlwind,” Lainey Wilson said of the song. “So when I got the opportunity to write a song for the new Twisters movie, it was a challenge I couldn't pass up. Reading Kate's story, I found a lot of parallels between our lives. We're both chasing wild and crazy careers, but they make us feel something and give us a sense of home.”- In addition to Lainey Wilson, the soundtrack album “Twisters: The Album” features Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Conner Smith, Thomas Rhett, Warren Zeiders, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Sam Barber, Tyler Childers, Tucker Wetmore, Leon Bridges, Benson Boone, Shania Twain, Breland, Dylan Gossett, Lanie Gardner, Wyatt Flores, Jake Kohn, The Red Clay Strays, Tanner Usrey, Tanner Adell, Mason Ramsey, Tyler Halverson, Flatland Cavalry, Nolan Taylor, Wilderado, Ken Pomeroy, James McAlister, and Charley Crockett.
The film “Twisters” was directed by Lee Isaac Chung, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos.
It is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film “Twister”.
The film and the soundtrack are scheduled to be released on July 19, 2024. - Lainey Wilson will release her upcoming fifth studio album “Whirlwind” on August 23, 2024.
It is her first album in two years since the 2022 album “Bell Bottom Country” and comprises a 14-track.
To dated, she has released two singles “Country's Cool Again” and “Hang Tight Honey” from the album.
Lainey Wilson said of the album in a statement, “This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I've ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”
