Aquilo Announces New Album “A Quiet Invitation To A Hard Conversation”, Shares New Song “Want You To Want It”
British musical duo Aquilo, consisting of Ben Fletcher and Tom Higham, has announced their fourth studio album “A Quiet Invitation To A Hard Conversation” will be released on August 9, 2024.
The announcement was along with a video for the album, directed by Harvey Pearson.
The album is their first body of work in three years since the 2021 album “A Safe Place To Be” and comprises a 8-track, produced by Aquilo, Eliot James, and Jon Class.
The duo said of the album, “The last three years have been some of the most transformative of our lives. It's difficult to articulate just how much this album means to us and how the stories of those closest to us have impacted it. We wanted to make something honest, and it felt like some living had to be done to get there.”
Also, the duo told Atwood Magazine about the album in an interview, “A lot of these songs are about close friends, partners, and loss.”- They added about the video, “Here's a step into the world surrounding the music directed by our good friend Harvey Pearson. All shot back home on 16mm film.”
From the album, the duo released the third single called “Want You To Want It” on June 19, 2024.
The track was written by Ben Fletcher, Henry Brill, Jon Class, and Tom Higham.
Produced by Aquilo, Eliot James, and Jon Class.
The accompanying music video was directed by Harvey Pearson. -
