  • Sabrina Carpenter Covers Chappell Roan's ”Good Luck, Babe!” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

  • American singer-songwriter and actress Sabrina Carpenter appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform a cover of American singer-songwriter Chappell Roan's ”Good Luck, Babe!” and her latest song ”Please Please Please”.

The original version of ”Good Luck, Babe!” was released by Chappell Roan back in April.
The song reached No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 16 on the UK singles chart.
Chappell Roan wrote the song with Justin Tranter and Dan Nigro.

Sabrina Carpenter said of the song, “I just haven't stopped listening to this song since it came out. I'm a huge fan of Chappell's and we wanted to put our own little twist on it.”

Sh added, ”I've been just as obsessed with her as everyone has. It's so weird when you're hanging out as two young women as opposed to thinking about when she goes onstage and is that person and when I go on stage.”
  • ”Please Please Please” was released from her upcoming sixth studio album “Short n' Sweet” alongside the Bardia Zeinali-directed music video earlier this month.
The new album is set to be released via Island Records on August 23, 2024.
On the track, she worked with frequent collaborator Amy Allen and American singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff.
The video is a sequel to the previous video for “Espresso” and featured Irish actor Barry Keoghan, who is Sabrina Carpenter's real-life boyfriend.
  • Sabrina Carpenter told Vogue about the video, “I ended the last video getting arrested, so naturally I thought it would be satisfying to start the 'Please, please, please' video in jail. I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes. I was sooo lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video cause he is just magic on screen.”
