James Blake Releases New EP “CMYK 002”
British singer-songwriter James Blake released a surprise new EP titled “CMYK 002” on June 15, 2024.
It comes just weeks after releasing the lates single “Thrown Around”.
The EP is his the second release as an independent artist and comprises a 4-track, produced by Produced by James Blake, Dominic Maker, and Rob McAndrews.
Although the EP is titled “CMYK 002”, it is not a sequel to the 2010 EP “CMYK”.
James Blake shared on social media, “FYI CMYK 002 is not a sequel to the original EP. 'CMYk' My independent imprint is named CMYK, and this is my second release on it (the first being 001 - thrown around). Just to clear that up for anyone confused by it.”- James Blake will release a new a collaborative album “Bad Cameo” with American rapper Lil Yachty on June 28, 2024 via his own label CMYK.
James Blake told Complex, “I've been a fan of Yachty for years. And when I heard his last record [Let's Start Here], I was like, this is really a turn. Not many artists are brave enough to do something that's kind of opposite of the last thing they did.”
Lil Yachty said of the album on social media, “I think James has worked with a quite substantial amount of hip-hop artists. But this project is so left for both of us. Then, aside from the one picture that James posted, which he doesn't have many followers actually, I don't think people know that we know each other exist.” - source : Apple Music
