Jelly Roll Releases New Song “I Am Not Okay”
American country music singer-songwriter Jelly Roll released a new song “I Am Not Okay” on June 14, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “All My Life” with American rock band Falling In Reverse.
He first performed the song at The Voice Season Finale last month.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming eighth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
The track is an emotional song that delves into his emotional pain and struggles with mental health.
It was written by Ashley Gorley, Casey Brown, Jason Deford, and Taylor Phillips. Produced by Zach Crowell.
The new album is his first body of work since the 2023 album “Whitsitt Chapel”.
He wrote 150 songs for the album last year.
Jelly Roll told Taste of Country about the album in an interview, “There's a lot of storytelling on this out. I wrote probably 100 and some songs last year, maybe 150 Plus, trying to figure this album out. I've never been more inspired though. I was getting so many stories. People were pouring into me. They were telling me there. I mean, I'm at gas stations and red carpets and I'm hearing life stories from people and really inspiring stories.
