James TW Releases New Song “How to Say I Love You”
British singer-songwriter James TW released a new song “How to Say I Love You” on June 7, 2024.
Last month, he released “Remember Me”, which was about his memories of his grandfather.
This time, the new song is about improving his relationship with his father and was released ahead of Father's Day.
The track was written by James Taylor-Watts and Mikey Gormley. Produced by James Taylor-Watts and Laura Mejías Ortega.
“It's about my Dad holding back his emotions. Although it was difficult to write...It has improved our relationship in ways I can't explain,” James TW said of the song. “Everything I know I've learned it from my dad. He is the reason why I started to play music. He is the reason why I have a career in music. He taught me so many things over the years and I know it was his way of showing me he loves me. But he belongs to that generation where men can't really express what they feel.”- He continued, “I wrote this song, my favourite song I've ever written, to show him that it's okay to say 'I love you'. It's not his fault growing up he wasn't shown vulnerability was a strength, but I can show him now and break the circle.”
He added, “I have been playing this song live and so many of you have connected to it and shared how much it reminded you of your own relationships. It's up to us to break the circle.” - source : Apple Music
