Goldie Boutilier Releases New Song “The Actress”
Canadian singer-songwriter Goldie Boutilier released a new song “The Actress” along with a music video on June 6, 2024.
The song is the first single off of her upcoming EP of the same name, which is set to be released later this year via ONErpm.
The new EP is the follow-up to the 2023 EP “Emerald Year”.
The track was written by Goldie Boutilier and Simon Wilcox. Produced by Goldie Boutilier, Simon Wilcox, and Thomas 'Tawgs' Salter.
The accompanying video was directed by Kevin Calero and Wynn Holmes.
“This song is my triumphant return,” Goldie Boutilier said of the song in a statement. “I've grown, conquered my demons, and now stand confident. It's a sassy statement to men and anyone who believes they hold control over me. I used to claim I was a great actress due to a life spent pretending. Now, I am in the driver's seat. I am The Actress, and everyone is an extra in my movie.”- Goldie Boutilier will support South African country music singer-songwriter Orville Peck's Stampede Tour this summer.
