Gracie Abrams Releases New Song “Close To You”
American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams released the second single called “Close To You” from her upcoming sophomore album “The Secret of Us” on June 7, 2024, following “Risk”.
The track was written and produced by Gracie Abrams and Sam de Jong.
The new album is set to be released on June 21, 2024 via Interscope Records.
Gracie Abrams said of the song, “I wrote Close To You seven years ago and we made a demo that I posted 20 seconds of and you somehow cared about it enough for us to revisit the song seven years later. Close To You was not initially a part of TSOU - it's from a different time entirely, we had finished the whole record top to bottom, but I heard you loud and clear. Consider this one a bonus track pre-deluxe?? with everyone getting their vinyls this week, I got impatient and wanted you all to have it early. Or seven years late, actually.”- The new album comprises a 13-track, featuring a guest appearance from American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
Produced by Gracie Abrams, and American rock band The National's Aaron Dessner, who also produced her previous debut album “Good Riddance”.
Gracie Abrams said of the collaboration with Taylor Swift, “All I can tell you for now is that some of the most fun I've ever had in my whole entire life was writing this song together.
