L'Impératrice Releases New Song “Any Way” featuring Maggie Rogers
French pop band L'Impératrice, consisting of Charles de Boisseguin (keyboards), Hagni Gwon (keyboards), David Gaugué (bass guitar), Achille Trocellier (electric guitar), Tom Daveau (drums), and Flore Benguigui (vocals), will release their theird studio album “Pulsar” on June 7, 2024.
The album comprises a 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Erick the Architect, Fabiana Martone, and Maggie Rogers.
From the album, the band released the fourth and final single called “Any Way” featuring American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers.
The song is accompanied by the Zite & Léo-directed music video.
The track was written by Achille Trocellier, Charles de Boisseguin, David Gaugué, Flore Benguigui, Hagni Gwon, Maggie Rogers, and Tom Daveau. Produced by Charles de Boisseguin.
The band founder Charles de Boisseguin said of the song, “The French way is that we are pretty slow people. We really take time to make things good. But Maggie Rogers showed up and showed us her skills and the American way. It was a magical moment.”- Maggie Rogers said, “L'Impératrice has been one of my favorite bands for a few years now, so when we started talking about working together on some music, I jumped at the opportunity to travel to Paris and create with them. The song came together really naturally and effortlessly in one afternoon and I really think it represents this perfect hybrid of what we both do. I'm so happy it's out in the world.”

The new album is their first LP in three years since the 2021 album “Tako Tsubo”.
While writing the album, L’Impératice tried a novel approach - splitting into two teams of ever-interchanging members to explore new ideas, led by de Boisseguin.
It was an exciting process and saw the band go from writing through to recording the album in about nine months.
