Frances Forever & Miya Folick Team Up for New Song “Mr. Man”
Boston-based singer-songwriter Frances Forever teamed up with Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Miya Folick to release a new song “Mr. Man” on June 5, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Frances Forever and Miya Folick.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming debut album “Lockjaw”, which is set to be released on June 28, 2024 via Mom + Pop.
The track was written by Frances Garrett, Kellen Pomeranz, and Miya Folick. Produced by PomPom and David Pramik.
Frances Forever said of the song, “'Mr. Man' tells a tale that every sapphic couple has, the advances of unwanted male attention while in a queer relationship. I wanted to create a sort of diss track and capture the utterly powerful feeling of not wanting or needing male validation. Miya Folick killed it on the line 'Why can't you face it? It's just basic normal gay shit!' because that's exactly what it is! Respectfully, leave us alone to our gay shit!”
Miya Folick said, “I'm obsessed with Frances's energy and honesty. This song would be a bop with or without me, but I'm so glad they asked me to be a part of it.”- Frances Forever shared on social media, “To celebrate here's me on nights out where I have not been hit on by men <3 kiss your friends. I wrote this song in 2022 and was GIGGLING in the studio with pom pom with these lyrics. I came for cheese, you came for hoes? I love unserious pop music!! let gay people have fun!! happy pride!!! Fuck predatory cis straight men in queer spaces!! been itching to show this one to u since u loved it so much on tour, and it's yours now.”

The debut album comprises a 11-track, featuring guest appearances from dacelynn and Miya Folick.
Frances Forever said of the album, “This project contains my favorite songs I've ever written, and I've never put so much of my heart into something. It feels like my baby, and I've spent the past two years perfecting it.”
