  • Blusher Releases New Song “24 Hours in Paris”

  • Australian pop-trio Blusher, consisting of Miranda Ward, Lauren Coutts and Jade Ingvarson-Favretto, released a new song “24 Hours in Paris” on June 5, 2024.

The song is the third single since the their 2023 debut EP “Should We Go Dance?”, following “Accelerator” and “Rave Angel”.
The track was written by Annie Schindel, Jade Ingvarson-Favretto, Lauren Coutts, Miranda Ward. Produced by Lauren Coutts.

The trio said of the song, “'24 Hours in Paris' is our bittersweet darling. We started writing it after a D&M (deep and meaningful) about the times that we'd done the “run away from your sadness” overseas trip ~ where you find yourself in a beautiful place, expecting it'll heal you instantly, but really, you just end up eating a croissant in a gutter and overthinking.”
  • They continued, “Sonically, it feels like a new colour of the Blusher palette - a different side to our sound that we're super excited to share with people. We love the idea of taking a left turn from our last single, 'Accelerator'. We want our music to be your soundtrack on the dance floor, but also for the ride home in the Uber, when you're staring out the window with a single tear rolling down your cheek.”

  • Blusher shared on social media, “The morning before we wrote this song, we found out we'd booked a show in Paris, but there was a chance that we'd have to leave the morning after to go back to Australia. It would be our first time there, and the idea of spending a whirlwind 24 hours in such a romantic and inspiring place was so bittersweet. It brought back the feeling of booking a spontaneous trip to try to get over a breakup - expecting it'll heal you instantly, but really, you just end up eating a croissant in a gutter and overthinking.

They added, “We poured our hearts out in the studio that day - a big, cathartic release which is exactly what the final moments of the song feels like. this one is so special to us, we hope you love it.”
