  • Poppy Premieres New Song “New Way Out” on BBC Radio 1

  • Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Poppy premiered a new song “New Way Out” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “V.A.N” with Bad Omens, which was released was back in January.
Also, the tack will appear on her upcoming sixth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
This time, she worked with former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish and House Of Protection's Stephen Harrison on the track.
The track was written by Jordan Fish, Poppy, and Steven Ray Harrison. Produced by Jordan Fish.

Poppy told Jack Saunders about working with Jordan Fish, “Jordan is producing the entire album. I'm quite excited. I would say it's like hanging out with a good friend that I've known for years and we were able to make honest music together.”
She continued, “I would say it was different early on, but within the last couple of years I feel like I've really found my own ground and it just continues to get better.”
  • Poppy told NME about collaboration with Jordan Fish and Stephen Harrison, “I still think 'New Way Out' is uncharted territory for me. They're both great. It's rare to find somebody that wants to move as quickly as I do. We also have a lot of similar influences. Going into the studio with different people is like a puzzle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but this just felt exciting.“

  • She added, “There is a lot more to come though. We weren't listening to much new music when we made 'New Way Out' but I was listening to Madonna, so there's that as well as a Britney Spears influence to the track. I am a fan of pop music, and I think you can still hear that.”
