Selma Higgins Releases New Song “Summertime”
Danish-Irish singer-songwriter Selma Higgins released the first single of 2024 called “Summertime” on May 31, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “A Family”, which was last November.
The track describes how imperfectness and being awkward can be a total turn-on.
She worked with Danish producer Ronni Vindahl on the track.
The track was written by Ronni Vindahl, Selma Higgins, and Thomas Fjalland Lund.
She has already filmed a music video for the song, which is coming soon.
Selma Higgins said of the song, “I wanted to make it a sensuous, sensual song, almost like Grease’s ‘Summer Nights’. The feeling of butterflies in your stomach and wanting to open yourself to someone. And the excitement, because it’s the summer, anything can happen. And that’s such a feeling,”- Also, she shared on social media, “This was not an easy time for me to release music in. A time with the greatest loss of my life. But when the music spoke for itself, i couldnt help but to follow it.”
