Rita Ora Releases New Song “Ask & You Shall Receive”
British singer-songwriter Rita Ora released a brand new song called “Ask & You Shall Receive”.
The song is her first music since the 2023 album “You & I”.
As the single of 2024, the track follows up “Last of Us” with American DJ Gryffin and “Shape of Me” Australian singer-songwriter Keith Urban.
This time, she teamed up with British singer-songwriter RAYE, who co-wrote the song.
Also, she worked with producer Oliver Peterhof, aka German, who co-wrote and produced the new track.
Rita Ora said of the song, “It's written by Raye. Because Raye and I have a history. She came and did Radio 1's Big Weekend with me. She came and supported me on tour. So like it's a 360.”
She continued, “The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically, and diving straight in with that special someone.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Dano Cerny, who filmed in Los Angeles.
It is set in a 24-hour laundromat and inspired by the 1985 Levis 501 commercial starring Nick Kamen.
Rita Ora shared on social media, “Serving a summer BOP, written by one of my favourite artists / supporters / sisters Raye - This video, we put heart, soul, blood, lashes into one of the most ambitious, challenging, creative shoots I've ever been part of it. Thanks to every single person who brought this to life, all my love, hope you love it too.”
