Washed Out Releases New Song “Running Away”
American singer-songwriter Ernest Greene, aka Washed Out will release his fifth studio album “Notes from a Quiet Life” on June 28, 2024.
The album is his first LP in four years since the 2020 album “Purple Noon” and comprises a 10-track.
From the album, he unveiled the second single called “Running Away” on May 30, 2024, following the release of “The Hardest Part” earlier this month.
The track was written and produced by Ernest Greene.
Washed Out said of the song, “Starting work on a new album often means a lot of failed experiments. Basically, I'm just waiting around until I stumble into something new that I can build an album concept around. For NFAQL, that song was 'Running Away'. It had all of the ingredients that ended up shaping the aesthetic for the album: a more minimal arrangement, sonic clarity, and more of an emphasis on classic songwriting technique.”- Photo by Landon Speers
