  • Delights Releases New Song “Two Times Over”

  • Manchester-based indie-pop band Delights, consisting of Adam Maxwell (vocals), Ben Kirkland (bass), Ben Squires (guitar), Leo Willis (drums) and Cameron Stephenson (percussion), released a new song “Two Times Over” on May 28, 2024.

The song will appear on their upcoming full-length debut album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
The album is their first body of work since the 2022 mini-album “Cool Sports”.
The track was written by Adam Maxwell, Ben Kirkland, Ben Squires, Cameron Stephenson, and Leo Willis. Produced by Michael Smith.

The band frontman Adam Maxwell said of the song, "Two Times Over was written as a sort a mirror to where we see ourselves as a band - both personally and as a collective. It's a wider reflection on where we stand at this very moment - contemplating our past and looking toward the future. The song is also something of a tongue in cheek character portrayal; that person who's still out there living for the weekend, whilst all their friends are growing up and moving on with their lives - 'shall we do it all again tomorrow?'. We can relate."
  • He continued, "It's been a year since we've shared any new music and we've been locked away making the best body of work we possibly could. We've matured; grown as a band and group of best mates. Acts like LCD Soundsystem were definitely an influence on Two Times Over, but this song is just one piece of a much more eclectic puzzle..."

The band announced their biggest headline show to date at Manchester's iconic 1300 capacity New Century Hall on November 1, 2024.
