Canadian singer-songwriter Tyler Del Pino released a new song “The Drugs Still Work” on May 22, 2024.
The song is the second single since the 2023 EP “Out of a Clear Blue Sky”, following “Wolf In The Hen House”.
Through the enduring specter of conflict and suffering, the song provocatively explores society’s coping mechanisms, whether through litera l sedation or subtler distractions like social media and binge-watching.
The track was written by and produced by Tyler Del Pino, and co-written by Hill Kourkoutis.
Tyler Del Pino said of the song, “Everything is changing all the time, it's the impermanence of life that I find enticing. Especially because everything that occurred in the past happened at a time surrounded by different conditions.
