HAPPY LANDING Releases New Song “Lose The Gun”
American indie folk rock band HAPPY LANDING, consisting of Matty Hendley (lead vocals/guitar), Keegan Christensen (vocals/keyboard), Jacob Christensen (drums), Andrew Gardner (fiddle/vocals) and WIlson Moyer (bass/guitar/vocals), released a new song “Lose The Gun” on May 17, 2024.
The music video for the song, directed by Sumter Sessoms and Jacob Christensen, premiered on May 21, 2024.
The track was written by Matthew Brennan Hendley and produced by Blake Mohler.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming debut album, which is set to be released in 2024.
The band lead singer Matty Hendley said of the song, “I wrote Lose The Gun in the stairwell before our show last fall in Orange County, CA. It probably took me 10 minutes. That hardly ever happens. It was like the words were already written and I just needed to put them down on paper. I realized recently that there is a deep connection to this song with my own life…there’s a lot of resistance to give yourself whole to something. A big one for me was pursuing my passion for music. Better off dying with an undivided heart.”- The band added, “We’ve known from the beginning that this was a special song and we’re so excited to share it with y’all... it’s been an honor to get to play it for some of you guys over the past few months.”
