Alec Benjamin Releases New Album “12 Notes”
American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin released his third studio album “12 Notes” on May 10, 2024.
The album is his first LP in two years since the 2022 album “(Un)Commentary”.
The album comprises a 12-track, featuring a guest appearance American singer-songwriter Khalid, produced by Earwulf, Johnny Goldstein, Jordi, OZGO, Sacha Skarbek, Sam de Jong, Sir Nolan, StarGate, Stephen Barnes and The Diner.
Alec Benjamin said of the album, “Each track, a poignant reflection of the past year and a half of my life, offers a unique glimpse into my world. From heartaches to triumphs. My goal is to share my journey and stories with my listeners. I am both thrilled and apprehensive to share this intimate collection, as each song carries a piece of my heart, echoing both excitement and vulnerability.”- Alec Benjamin told Houseofsolo about the album, “'12 Notes' is really a collection of 12 journal entries, each representing a different chapter of my life. It's like opening up my diary and sharing these deeply personal stories with my listeners. The inspiration behind the album comes from my own experiences, struggles, and moments of clarity.”
He continued, “I poured my heart into this album. Last year was a whirlwind with so much on my plate and things I was trying to figure out. I was facing a ton of changes that were looming, ones I knew I had to tackle but needed more time to be ready for. Now, though, I've taken that leap, made those changes, and the album is finally complete.” -

“Releasing this song is the ultimate form of therapy,” Alec Benjamin said of the song in a statement. “It combines the two most therapeutic things in my life into one; music and therapy itself. I hope listening to this song provides the same level of catharsis for anyone struggling with their mental health as writing it did for me.
Hope you guys like the song and if you are struggling in any way I hope it lightens the load a little knowing you aren't alone. I've had a lot of struggles with my mental health over the last few years and addressing them in this song is really healing me.”
