  • Hockey Dad Drops New Music Video for “Safety Pin”

  • Australian surf rock band Hockey Dad, consisting of Zach Stephenson (vocals/guitar) and Billy Fleming (drums), dropped a new music video for “Safety Pin” directed by Jamieson Kerr.

The song was released as the third single from their upcoming fourth studio album “Rebuild Repeat” on April 22, 2024.
It was written by Alex Burnett, Oli Horton, William Fleming, and Zach Stephenson. Produced by Alex Burnett, Oli Horton, and Tim McArtney.

The band lead singer Zach Stephenson said of the song, “The lyrics refer to your ride or die. The person you can count on when you need someone to listen to you rant, explode or breakdown. Someone who without even asking, knows exactly what to say to calm you down and keep you together in crazy situations.”
  • He continued, “It quickly picked up speed with the tempo as we were writing it and it got super exciting. My favorite part of the track is the backing vocals in the second chorus. Super fun to record and I can’t wait to play this song live.”

The new album “Rebuild Repeat” is set to be released on June 14, 2024 via Farmer & the Owl.
It is their first album in four years since the 2020 album “Brain Candy” and comprises a 11-track, produced by Alex Burnett, Oli Horton, and Tim McArtney.
