Charlotte Cardin Announces New Mini-Album “A Week in Nashville”, Shares New Song “Lonely with Our Love”
Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin has announced her upcoming mini-album “A Week in Nashville” will be released this Friday (May 17) via Cult Nation / Atlantic Records.
The mini-album is the follow-up to the 2023 EP “Une semaine à Paris”.
From the mini-album, she released a new song “Lonely with Our Love” on May 13, 2024.
She wrote the song with producer Gabe Simon and recorded his studio in Nashville.
“Loneliness is such a universal feeling, but there's a distinct kind that comes with being with someone. And that's the heart of 'Lonely with Our Love,'” Charlotte Cardin said of the song. “I wrote this song with the extremely talented Gabe Simon, and it was one of those rare, magical sessions where the song just unfolded on its own. We wanted to capture that complex, paradoxical feeling of being alone together.”- Charlotte Cardin shared on social media, “Navigating distance has become an old acquaintance of mine, and I wrote this song at a moment where being in love felt perhaps lonelier than being alone. I am so grateful to have music as a lifeline in the hard times. This one was written in Nashville with my dear friend Gabe Simon. And my biggest wish is that it brings comfort to anyone out there who might need a reminder that they are not alone in their moments of solitude.”
