American rapper Post Malone teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Morgan Wallen to release a new song “I Had Some Help” on May 10, 2024.
Post Malone and Morgan Wallen first performed the song at Stagecoach Festival, which was held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert.
The song will appear on his upcoming first-ever full-length country album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The song is about a relationship falling apart and knowing it's not just one person's fault.
It was written by Austin Post, Ernest Smith, Hoskins, Louis Bell, Morgan Wallen, and Ryan Vojtesak. Produced by Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, and Hoskins.
The accompanying music video was directed by Chris Villa.
Post Malone said of the new album during CMA Awards show's Twitch livestream, “Country record is coming. I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville. It's so f*king sick, but it's not out.”- Recently, Post Malone has joined in country music and folk music from hip hop.
In 2023, he covered the late American country singer Joe Diffie's “Pickup Man” and joined in American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan's “Dial Drunk”.
