Lukas Graham Returns With New Song “Cheat Code”
Danish pop band Lukas Graham, consisting of Lukas Forchhammer (vocals) and Mark Falgren (drums), returned with a new song “Cheat Code” on May 3, 2024.
The song is their first music since the 2023 album “4 (The Pink Album)”.
Also, the track is the first singe off of their upcoming fifth studio album.
This time, they worked with American songwriter Autumn Rowe and Dutch producer Kizzo on the track.
The vocals for “Cheat Code” were recorded in front of a live audience at the legendary Copenhagen venue, VEGA, during his 8-night residency earlier this year.
This unique and intimate live experience, also known as “The Recording Experience”, has led to several vocal recordings that will be heard on tracks from the new album.
The band frontman Lukas Forchhammer said of recording, “About a year ago, I had this insane idea of creating a recording studio big enough to have an audience basically be there while I was recording live studio vocals for the coming album. We transformed the legendary venue of Vega in Copenhagen into this vision. We filled Vega for 8 days. Recording a new song everyday, recording instruments during the day recorded vocals in the evening. I'm extremely grateful for everybody who worked on the project over last year.”- He said of the song, “I think everyone knows the struggles of keeping love and life both happy and exciting in a romantic relationship. I got the cheat code for my girl and how to make our everyday adventurous and fun. Of course, it's oversimplified but the underlying message is for everyone to unlock each other's undiscovered levels to explore new sides of shared love.”
