Astrid S Releases New Song “Hot Fever Dream” from New Album “Joyride”
Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S will release her sophomore album “Joyride” on May 24, 2024 via Universal and Island Records.
The album is her first body of work in four years since the 2020 debut album “Leave It Beautiful” and comprises a 9-track.
The album was born out of her childhood memories and the many car trips through the Norwegian countryside with her father growing up.
Astrid S said of the album, “The pieces fell into place after I wrote the first song, Joyride. It's a road trip album and a tribute to childhood memories and all the hours in the car with dad.”
She shared on social media, “A collection of songs inspired by many roadtrips and the music I would listen to in the car with my dad growing up. Can't make a roadtrip album without getting my drivers licenses, so I'm getting it on the release date. If I don't fail. Hehe!!”- From the album, she unveiled the fourth single called “Hot Fever Dream” on May 3, 2024.
The song is about longing to dream of a hot crush.
The track was written by Astrid Smeplass, Lara Andersson, and Oliver Lundström. Produced by Oliver Lundström and Astrid S.
