  • Twenty One Pilots Releases New Song “Backslide”

  • Earlier this week, American alt-rock band Twenty One Pilots, consisting of Tyler Joseph (vocals/keyboards) and Josh Dun (drums), announced that their seventh studio album “Clancy” will be pushed back to May 24, 2024.

Initially, the album was scheduled to be released on May 17, 2024.

The band lead singer Tyler Joseph said in a video message on social media, “When I first told Josh and Mark (Mark Eshleman) and everyone on our team that I wanted to do a music video for every song on the album 'Clancy' that's coming up, I told them it's because I love these songs and I believe in them enough to pretend to sing in front of a camera to each one. And that's what we're going to do, because that's how I want to present this album. But because of that, in order to accomplish that, we need a little bit more time - that's why I'm making this video. We're going to push the album back by one week, to May 24th. Isn't that exciting? Just a little more time. Just a little, little more time.”
  • From the album the duo released the third single called “Backslide” along with a music video on April 25, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Tyler Joseph, with production by Paul Meany.
The accompanying video was directed by the band drummer Josh Dun, who is making his directorial debut.
In the clip, Tyler Joseph is tooling around town on his red and black BMX bike.
