Remedy Releases New Song “Crying Heart”
Stockholm-based melodic rock metal band Remedy, consisting of Roland 'Rolli' Forsman (guitar), Robert Van Der Zwan (vocals/guitar), Jonas Öijvall (Keyboards), Jonas Dicklo (bass) and Fredrik Karlberg (drums), has released the second single called “Crying Heart” from their upcoming sophomore album “Pleasure Beats the Pain”, following “Moon Has the Night”.
The track was written by Roland Forsman, Sören Kronqvist, and Daniel Palmqvist. Produced by Roland Forsman.
The accompanying music video was directed by Carl Stenlöv.
The band guitarist Roland 'Rolli' Forsman said of the song, “'Crying Heart' took its time to fully develop. I came up with the main riff and structure of the song about five years ago. But it's only recently that everything has clicked into place, like finally finding all the missing pieces of a puzzle. Despite the long wait, I truly believe it was all worth it. 'Crying Heart' now represents Remedy's unique sound perfectly, blending Melodic Rock with Metal into a powerful fusion.”- The new album will be released on May 24, 2024.
The album is their first LP in two years since the 2022 debut album “Something That Your Eyes Won't See” and comprises a 10-track.
Roland 'Rolli' Forsman said of the album, “Fueled by the success of our debut album, stepping back into the studio felt like the most natural progression for us. With 'Pleasure Beats the Pain,' we reached a defining moment in Remedy's journey, solidifying our sound. With a balance of light and dark, day and night, pleasure and pain, love and hate, our music mirrors life's complexities, melding melodic rock & metal into a harmonious blend. Through this, combined with a distinctive approach to instrumentality and songwriting, Remedy emerges.” - source : Apple Music
