Kacey Musgraves Releases New Album “Deeper Well”
American country music singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves released her fifth studio album “Deeper Well” on March 15m 2024 via MCA Nashville.
Overall, it is her sixth album, including Christmas album “A Very Kacey Christmas”.
It is her first album in three years since the 2021 album “Star-Crossed”.
The album comprises 14-track, co-written and co-produced by Kacey Musgraves, Daniel Tashian, and Ian Fitchuk.
This time, she recorded the album mostly at Electric Lady in New York, rather than recording in Nashville.
Kacey Musgraves said of the album, “I didn't know what kind of record I was going to make. Other than the fact that it was going to be soft and organic and honest. My songwriting roots. And about less meaning more. But beyond that, this album is about who I am in love, and what I'm looking for. The songs are very spiritual. I was seeking some different environmental energy for this project, and Electric Lady has the best mojo.”- She continued, “Every studio has its own energy, but this one has such a storied past. This building - and it literally being Jimi Hendrix's apartment - right here, that's some seriously good mojo. I just know so many amazing creatives are drawn to creating here, and there's a reason.”
She said of the title track which means the theme of the album, “Sometimes you reach a crossroads. Winds change direction. What you once felt drawn to doesn't hold the same allure. You get blown off course but eventually find your footing and forage for new inspiration, new insight and deeper love somewhere else.” -
Kacey Musgraves told Zane Lowe of Apple Music, “I found a greater connection to my roots, Folk, Americana, Country. I felt like I was in a lighter phase after being star-crossed, going through divorce, therapy and allowing myself to fall in love again.” - source : Apple Music
