Chris Cadaret Returns With Two New Songs “How I Miss You” & “Bridget Sits”
Canadian singer-songwriter Chris Cadaret returned with two new songs “How I Miss You” and “Bridget Sits” as the single “Toonie” on February 19, 2024.
The single “Toonie” is his first music in two years since the 2022 album “Red Rover”.
The artwork of the single displays the image which is meant to represent the idea of gain and loss as being two sides of the same coin.
Chris Cadaret explained, “This idea comes in conjunction with the second song on my new double release, Toonie, 'Bridget Sits' which describes the humble beginnings of a new relationship. Artist Genevieve Pizzale worked to create the respective image meant to represent the duality between these two experiences.”
Both songs were written and produced by Chris Cadaret.- Chris Cadaret said of “How I Miss You”, “'How I Miss You' was originally written late at night in the pitch black of my room. I remember having a distinct feeling of sadness following the passing of a family member and it seemed as though my grief led the way in forming the ambiance of the song. I would play the raw version to my girlfriend from time to time and she would become teary eyed and emotional afterwards – which is how I knew it was a keeper!”
He continued, “This song is a reflection of both personal emotional experiences and those that were witnessed in others around me. I feel that this song comes from a deep place inside of me while also providing the opportunity for others to relate to its overall message. I think it's a good representation of different places I can go musically at this moment in time.” - source : Apple Music
