  • Martin Garrix Releases Two New Songs “Carry You” & “Breakaway”

  • Dutch DJ Martin Garrix has released two new songs “Carry You” and “Breakaway”.

On “Carry You”, he teamed up with British DJ duo Third Party, Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oak, and British singer-songwriter Declan J Donovan.
Winona Oak joined in the song as Oaks. The song was released on February 16, 2024.
It was written by Harry Bass, John Martin, Jonathan Macaire, Martijn Garritsen, and Winona Oak. Produced by Martin Garrix and Third Party.
“This world can be a really cruel and lonely place sometimes,” Winona Oak said of the song. “I know how it feels trying to find your way with an unbearable weight on your shoulders. That's why I love 'Carry You' so much, because it feels like a warm hug to me. It makes me think of all the beautiful people that helped me through the darkness, all the shoulders that held up my world. This song reminds me of how safe you can feel in someone's arms and how, with only their presence, they can make you forget about your pain for a moment.”

  • On “Breakaway”, Martin Garrix teamed up with Dutch DJ Mesto and Swedish singer-songwriter WILHELM.
The song was released just a week after the release of “Carry You” on February 23, 2024.
It was written by Martin Garrix, MESTO and WILHELM. Produced by Martin Garrix and MESTO.
Martin Garrix and Mesto first performed the song at at Ultra Miami 2023.
Mesto said of the song, “The making of Breakaway has been one of the most enjoyable projects Martin and I have worked on together so far. After he premiered an early version of the song at Ultra Miami, we both played it throughout the summer, and hearing the crowd sing along to the melodies was truly amazing.”
He continued, “Just a few weeks ago, we made the decision to finish the song, and once we started, we couldn't resist adding more to it. Every time we thought it was complete, one of us introduced an element that made the track 100x cooler, haha. That's why working with Marty is always a pleasure! Additionally, Wilhelm's vocals added the final finishing touch. I hope you guys will love the track as much as we do!”
