Hunter Daily Releases New Song “Girl Friend”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Hunter Daily released a new song “Girl Friend” on January 26, 2024.
The song is the first single since the debut EP “Die in LA”, which was released last June.
It was written by Madi Yanofsky, Alex Schwartz, Brock Westover, Hunter Daily, and Joe Khajadourian. Produced by The Futuristics and Mississippi Brock.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by Samantha Hunter.
Hunter Daily said of the song, “The song 'Girl Friend' is about having a girl crush. It's a confusing feeling, being close to a girl who's so effortlessly cool and beautiful - do you want to be friends with them, be them, or be with them?”- She continued, “I wrote 'Girl Friend' with the Futuristics, Madi Yanofsky, and Brock in our very first session together. I remember leaving the studio, unsure about whether or not I would feel comfortable putting a song like this out. It just revealed a part of myself that I had never confronted before. But when I listened to the first bounce of the song, I loved it. Not only is it a truthful discussion about my confusing little crushes, but I think it's also a song that's as cool as the girl it's about and I think that other girls might be able to relate to it.”
